For this track, I considered the role of fate vs. free will by exerting more control over the music than usual, and with a particular person in mind in attempts to recreate the mood that surrounds that person. However I got tired of that, so other people bubbled up unintentionally in the song at 1:41. The gap and dissonant piano notes at 1:30 correspond to how I separated from the initial thoughts and how the new set of thoughts and influences manifested. Think of thoughts tearing away; this is a process with much tension, hence the dissonant notes. The relaxed/loose nature of the song starting at 2:15 corresponds with the demeanor of another person I associated with more than usual at the time.
